11. the sounds from the aftermath
download
was mucking around online when i had burst of inspiration to play some guitar. instead of the usual noise experiments i had been conducting, i just plugged in a clean signal and started strumming some chords. after awhile, probably due to too much mojave3, the words just came out naturally.
decided to test my theory that my sm-57 wasn't working because i needed to process the signal through a DI first instead of going staight into my soundcard. and it did work! well, sort of, i mean, it's no means how the professionals do it. but with a working DI, i can successfully bridge a certain gap and actually start recording everything already (finally). i'll probably shift gears once my assignments are all done.. but i just recorded this so that i wouldn't forget what it sounded like.
